Work From Home Moms:Depression Sets in and the Mommy Wars Begin

Many small studies have come out lately, some say it’s harder for stay at home moms some disagree and say working moms have more stress and depression. I think the bottom line is whether you are doing what you want to be doing.

The study, released Friday by the Council of Contemporary Families, found that working moms who have good jobs had among the lowest levels of depressive symptoms of all the mothers studied. Even if the women’s stated preference was to stay home,

If you are stuck at home and really wish you could be out working you will be unhappy and if you are out in the work force and want to be home with your family you will also be unhappy. When there is a inner conflict you feel like you have no choice but to do what is required of you instead of what YOU need.
